Health, safety, nutrition and well-being
At Imagineer's ELC we support children's developing self-regulation by responding to their needs on an individual basis. We provide a safe, clean environment and foster a culture which promotes inclusion in the classroom through play, intentional programming and positive interactions with peers and adults. We provide a well-balanced menu that includes a variety of fresh fruit and vegetables at every meal time. Our staff attend to each child's emotional and physical well-being through responsive care, encouraging empathy amongst peers.
Responsive interactions among children, parents, childcare providers and staff
We care for the individual needs of each child by building strong relationships, using such times as daily routines to have meaningful interactions e.g. singing during diaper routines, conversing during lunch, singing or calming during times of sadness. We connect with families to discuss what's happening in the classroom and invite their participation to ensure our programs remain relevant to the child's home life. Progress may be monitored through documentation, portfolios and blog posts.
Development of positive communication and self-regulation skills

Fostering exploratrion, play and inquiry
We support and expand on each child's interests by providing activities, materials and experiences which are developmentally appropriate and which encourage exploration, discovery and learning. We encourage free choice and decision making, and provide opportunity for engagement and expression.
Imagineer's Early Learning Centre is licensed for operation by the Province of Ontario under the Child Care and Early Years Act, 2014 and does participate in the Child Care Subsidy program offered by the City of Hamilton.
